CFC Cause of the Week: Environmental Protection

U.S. service member standing in front of a sketch of a wetland.“The environment is where we all meet; where we all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share.” – Lady Bird Johnson

As human beings, we all share one thing in common – the environment. We all breathe the same air, enjoy the same sunsets, and wish upon the same stars. But the environment that we know and love is changing because of human activity.

Imagine a world where there is more waste than green space. A world where water from natural resources becomes undrinkable because of pollution and contamination. This could become a reality, if we don’t work toward a solution to protect the world we live in – that includes all creatures and resources.

Many CFC charities give donors like you the opportunity to exercise environmental protection. It only takes a small action to create a large change that will protect our world for many years to come.

Here’s how you can make an impact:

  • $20 cleans one pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines.
  • $50 plants 50 chemical-free seeds for more sustainable farmlands.
  • $50 patrols an area of coral reefs for six months, ensuring ocean rules and regulations are followed.
