Support Center for Child Advocates
Our video is an excerpt of an interview with an older client whom the Support Center for Child Advocates has represented in court, helping her overcome physical and emotional trauma to become a strong, confident young woman. Several images of Philadelphia are shown. Our Executive Director summarizes our work over the years. The following represents the dialogue and text from the video:
• The Support Center for Child Advocates provides legal and social service advocacy to children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Philadelphia.
• Older Client 1: I feel like sometimes we are so into our past that we forget we have a future. We overthink events that happened and we forget that, you know, I can change this around or, you know, I'm not in that same place anymore.
• Executive Director Frank Cervone: Over the 40+ years of our work, we think we've represented about 10,000 children, and probably 2,000 or 3,000 volunteer lawyers have served those kids.
• Federal Employees, thank you for your support! Your contributions help us represent more children who have experienced abuse or neglect. We couldn't do it without you!
